Author Topic: I feel like I never got off that boat and now i'm like vision impaired  (Read 789 times)

I was on a boat fishing all day and now my vision is messed up and the room keeps bobbing and moving as if I never stepped off the boat. Any tips on how to stop this?

This is serious because it only impairs my vision and I can't think clear enough to think of what to Google.

Oh god the movement ;-;

Try to sleep. One time I rode a bunch of roller coasters all day and it felt like I was on them still. Although it was hard to get to sleep, once I did, it went away.

arg matey it seems ye lost yer land legs

The same thing happens if you spend all day at a theme park and ride on a lot of roller coasters.  The feeling of that motion, being on a boat or experiencing G's on rollercoasters, will last for a while.  Just rest, go to sleep, and etc.  You should be fine in the morning.

Alright. I bet i'll be in the bed being like "Dammit wheres my fishing po.. Wait this is a bed not a boat"

Alright. But yea now I feel like I never stepped off.

It's just a glitch in the matrix. Step back on the boat and then back off. That should fix it.

Like I said, it's normal.  The rollercoaster example happened to me after a day in Hershey Park as I was trying to lay in bed and sleep.  Felt really weird.

It's just your body losing it's ability to be stable ATM. as nick said, same thing happens when you ride rollercoasters all day. you'll be fine, just drink some water, get some sleep, and you'll feel like a thousand bucks tomorrow.

It's perfectly normal. Your body hasn't yet realized that you're off the boat and is still compensating for the bobbing. Give it a rest and it should go away after awhile.

Apparently sitting outside and/or focusing on the horizon can help fight-off seasickness which is caused by the very similar effect when you're on a boat, So you might also try doing that. But rest is probably the best way to go.

Alright guys thanks for clearing this all up for me. I can't see worth a stuff right now lol.
Man that was a fun fishing trip. My uncle almost made me fall out the boat XD.

Trust me it was fun. Nothing like going on the water in a boat that almost capsized like 1000 times lol. Protip to boating on a small boat: Be careful when standing up and watch out for waves.

off topic, but i'm pretty much scared of open water, so standing on a boat is scary for me, plus the fact i can't swim and would probably not be able to see what was in the water and it would probably be dirty.

tl;dr i'm a big bitch :(((

smoke some pot.

im serious. its great for vertigo. (and similar things)
