I got a ethernet cable and it still doesn't work. Whats up with that?

I use ethernet and I still have to forward ports, whoever told you that doesn't know what they're talking about.

you dont have to port forward if there is no router or modem/router.

if you ethernet into just a modem, there is never a need.

If the computer you are hosting from is connected through a router, you need to port forward.

Most modems only have 1 Ethernet output, don't be a bitch about it and do it manually.
