"Well, this is awkward," I said, pulling the G36 off of my back. "Chief, ETA on that backup?"
"Five minutes, hold on."
"Tell them to move faster, we have armed men here," I said, firing over the table I had flipped over at the men. I heard a couple of screams, and I really hoped it wasn't one of my own. I dropped the magazine, pushing another into the magwell. The guards weren't as well-trained as I was, but they were performing pretty well.
"Chief, really, I need the backup today."
"They're almost there, sit tight."
About fifteen seconds later, I heard the sound of a door getting kicked open. I also heard a loud explosion and felt a whole lot of heat.
Looks like backup had arrived.
