Author Topic: Need Replacement GPU's  (Read 910 times)

Currently have 2 Nvidia 9800GT's in my computer and I wanted to upgrade to something more powerful that is Nvidia. I'm also needed a lot of Video memory, currently got 1GB in each card and would like equivalent or better. Preferably something that supports Tri-gaming rigs, IE really wide resolutions but not essential. I do a lot of rendering so CUBA supported stuff is great.

My current Specs are:
Direct X Support: 10 (would like higher)
CUBA Cores: 112
Core Clock: 600MHz
Shader clock: 1500 MHz
Memory clock: 900 MHz (180 MHz data rate)
Total Available graphics... : 3834 MB
Dedicated video memory: 1024 GDDR3
Shared system memory: 2810 MB
Bus: PCI Express x16 Gen2

Cheers.

like at least the same amount or equivalent.

equivalent means the same ammount lol

Get a GTX 690 when it comes out in one or a few months. Be boss.

come play with me packer

i have an extra 9800GX2 laying around.
but that is quite literally the same thing you have lol.
better heat though

pretty sure it's CUDA cores not CUBA cores

if you have lots of money, get 2 GTX 680's (somewhere over 1000 USD)

or wait for the 690 (expensive but worth it)

if you're on a budget, try a 560 Ti or a 550 (roughly 200-250 USD, 110-140 USD respectively)

make sure your power supply is sufficient depending on the card you buy. also ensure your CPU is powerful enough so that it doesn't bottlenck your cards.

The 460 is better than the 550 performance wise, and costs roughly the same.
