1 watt = 1 amp* 1 volt per second (I think)

Have you considered having it so you can right-click and have the flashlight lit and in your hand even when not out? 
Not a suggestion, honest curiosity is all.

or a special script that mounts it in your offhand so you can also hold a gun in your right hand.

No.

There's a massive delay on the lighting.
I drag it downward and it doesn't do anything for at least three seconds.

The light also lasts about three seconds after letting go of the mouse button.
