I have wanted a flashlight with a model for a very long time. Thanks for making this!

It needs a brighter light at the raycast.  This is like a toy light.

Has anyone even considered a fast projectile that emits a light, so it lights the whole path to the target? And on contact explodes with light?

Although, bullet spam could be claimed...

Ive done this. With anymore than 100 bricks near you, the stream of light flickers like a strobe. I was sad it didn't work out..

Also, why does the model look like a gun? Whatever, I'm gonna remodel a lantern.

its going to have to be a dark lantern with a focused opening

also awwww, oh well.

Yep.

Also, my hand goes away when I take the flashlight out.

Edit: It seems you use a slow moving projectile for your flashlight to work. If I fire it quickly, I can watch as the light slowly travels down the hallway. I was hoping this was a ray cast with a light on the end of it, but no. Its about the same as what I made only with a slower projectile.

Also, the amount of lights each projectile makes hits the light cap really fast. The light trail only goes 1/5th of distance the projectile themselves go. You need to slow the fire rate, but this method will screw up all other brick lights no matter what you do.

Do you have to hold down  M1 to keep it activated?
Yes.
you should be able to turn this off and on. would be nice.
or a special script that mounts it in your offhand so you can also hold a gun in your right hand.
Will try, although I have no idea how you can mount 2 items together.
Have you considered having it so you can right-click and have the flashlight lit and in your hand even when not out?
Not a suggestion, honest curiosity is all.
Will try.
No.

There's a massive delay on the lighting. Will try to fix.
I drag it downward and it doesn't do anything for at least three seconds. I'l fix.

The light also lasts about three seconds after letting go of the mouse button. I'l fix.

Shapebaseimagedata has wrong setup of states.
Lemme see if I can fix it.

use raycasts instead of projectiles. although you can't light the whole distance, its better than having that delay.

Yes I noticed.
Asdf.

Bug fixing.

I actually have no idea what's wrong with the delay but i'm trying to fix.

The delay is a result of your projectile speed being too slow, and the projectile lifespan being too long.
But as stated by me and Conan, use a raycast. Ive been down this road before. No matter how you tweak a projectile based flashlight, it will always flicker and screw with brick lights.

What we need is a flashlight that works like the one in the "Stalker Server", if anyone knows what I'm talking about..

Fixed it.
Sending it to you, and the flashlight is in the left hand.
I'm gonna see if I can merge this with another addon.

I am proud of myself, nice work Lamebro.
