Author Topic: My charger (Laptop) is slowing my internet down? How?  (Read 713 times)

So, my internet is super super slow. I unplug my charger, the page loads. I test it out if this is really the problem, which it is.

How is this happening? How can I fix it?

My power plans are maxed for when the charger is plugged in, so that can't be it.

that doesn't really make any sense
is your router plugged into the same outlet? that probably wouldn't do anything, but in a situation where the initial problem doesn't make sense, I think it's okay to try solutions that don't make sense

I can try to load a page with it plugged in, which it constantly loads. I unplug it and the page comes up, I did this like 10 times and it did the same thing

that's not what I meant didn't make sense, I understood what you said
I mean that the problem doesn't make sense
it shouldn't exist
you should not be having this problem, because this problem shouldn't even be a problem

How good is your houses wiring. (Yes this matters)

I know, it's not even logical for this to happen.

The only logical reason this could happen is maybe my power saving plan lowered my bandwith.

I fixed my internet yesterday because everyone had to manually put in an IP address. But it never had problems like this yesterday.

Anyways, it's ok, I'm using a Embarq router with a Cisco e1000 wireless router

bump

hurry because my battery is low

Well if your wiring isn't forgeted than that's not it.

Try an different outlet? Btw Cisco is a pain in the ass.

Oh my god someone help

Dude we are trying to!

Try a different outlet and tell me what you got.

Well check your settings and what not. See if there is a setting to were it cuts down on internet when plugged in.
