Author Topic: iPod has been stolen, what do I do?-UPDATE: I GOT IT BACK BOYEEEEE!-  (Read 2814 times)

what the hell kind of investigation can the school run to help you?

people get stuff stolen all the time. its better to have a "dont bring it, else you risk it" rule then to waste time and effort of the staff to help the stupid out.

Instead of asking people if they know who stole it start asking other students if they can sell you a used ipod if they have one and before you buy it ask them to bring it too you, once you see it, if its yours take it back and run, or if your a tough guy risk detention/suspension and beat the crap out of him/her.

Yes I said HER, you know girls steal stuff allot and they only do it because they know the first thing a guy would think is that another guy stole it.

Why would the person who stole it resell it to me?

Thats the stupidest idea ever, no one is that stupid.

I suppose the person who stole it would resell it very quickly and cheaply. Maybe the buyer wanted to make a profit but he doesn't know who the original owner was :|.

I doubt he would so stupid as to sell it at the school he stole it from.

Not if he gets someone else to try and find it.

Ask someone else to snoop around for used iPods? I really doubt that would work but thanks for the idea.

Well that's what some kids do at my old school they got something stolen like some earbuds and so I searched for new earbuds that where for sale and this kid was selling skullcandy earbuds for $5.00 and I told the guy who got his earbuds stolen...

Turn out some kid stole them from his backpack and was trying to re-sell them to buy something else.

Someone tried selling a Blackberry once for $25.00 but I din't buy it because I knew it was stolen, I told the people who had a lost a phone at school if they had a Blackberry, and soon enough the kid got expelled from the school considering he was selling all sorts of stolen stuff:iPods, phones, Tablet Computers, A TEACHERS PHONE!
HE STOLE THE TEACHERS PHONE!And he tried selling it to anyone for $50.00.

Great idea man, because a off-brand MP4 player totally has internet, picture, video, music, apps, and messaging. Not to mention retina display and the best digitizer touch screen out there.

Let's all have internet on the go!  Now we can know about the world while we're experiencing the world!

What if we need dictionary.com for god-knows-what-the-forget-why?  I'd have my iPod on me with cool internet capabilities!

What if-

I was gonna continue, then I realized that you stated that MP3 players (Which you called an MP4) can't play music.

Even if you had iCloud installed, it probably wouldn't do much. Whoever took it most likely has wiped the thing, it's pretty easy to do with ipods. At this point, you can always get your serial number by using a page on Apple's site...I'm not sure where it is exactly, but somewhere you can log into your apple account and see what devices you have registered and all their information.

It's pretty much gone, though, but if you want to file a police report, go for it. i had my Macbook pro stolen from a locker room in March and I got it back, but there's a big difference between a $200 or less ipod, and a $1600 laptop.

responsibility is responsibility.
