Ive had braces for about 13 months now, and whenever I get a new wire they hurt like crazy.

I am notorious at my orthodontist for braking brackets off like crazy so I go in frequently, and they usually put in a new wire for some reason.
I have to have braces because I have a major overbite and my jaw is not aligned. Its a little to far to the left.
I have these metal lever things that pushed my jaw forward for about about a year and I broke one of them off so they said "Whatever we'll just take them off"
Now I have these ridiculous rubber bands. One goes from the top back right molar to the front bottom tooth. The other one runs from the top front tooth to the bottom left back molar. I have to wear these at night and last night was my first night wearing them. I woke up at about 3 a.m. and they hurt so bad that I said "Screw it I'm not wearing them tonight" so I just took them off.

it only gets worse as it goes, i think they get tightened every couple months.

my overbite is bad so i have to wear a bite plate.
it looks like retainer but it has a bunch of plastic at the front.
and it such a PAIN IN THE ASS

first of all it is uncomfterble
the only way i can bite down is in this weird way that makes my entire mouth hurt

second it is annoying.
every time i eat i have to take it out, put it in its case, eat, take it out, wash off all the dried on spit
brush it, then put it back in
i snack frequently so this is quite a pain.

third i loving cant get spit out of my mouth
it gets trapped under it and i have to slurp for 5 minutes just so i can swallow.

and in the morning? well in the morning my mouth tastes like someone took a giant heaping dump in it
because all the spit just stays in my mouth all night

and that is why i hate the dentist

Good thing half of my orthodontists' nurses are hot chicks.

Overbite is a bitch though.  I had to get this thing called a mara first to fix the overbite, then braces.

I'm in my last months of braces though.  It's worth it in the end.  I honestly can't wait to see my braces come off.
