Adena - Ancient City

Ancient city build by Zealot & co. It was intended to be a Halloween TDM but was not finished in time. Here is the build so far.

*Since this build ignited a bit of interest when I posted a photo earlier, I have since spoken to Zealot and now I can post the whole thing. I have not built this, I'm just posting it; credits below.

Credits
Zealot, MYST, S.W.A.T. 2, Preglegic, Dead Space 2, Zyber, Instinct, and MrMcCakey.

Can we have one big overall shot of the whole thing?

I did some minor things with the build as well. Zealot will tell you the same thing, so I ask that I be added to the credits.

Excellent terrain and building style. However, the dining hall could use a tapestry to cover up those bare boring walls.

Zealot would like to mention the city is currently divided into three parts, and that he was "was attmepting not to display the large gap" while taking photos. Its a WIP you see.

Someone had this kind of build hosted as a dm. So I got a pretty good look at it. Nicely done.

He hosted that. I've hosted it a few times myself.

That was zealot

He was hosting this build earlier too, good chance to go and see it for yourself.

He hosts it quite regularly.

It looks really really good
The exterior is awesome and the interior is great but could be better (as far as what I have seen)

I like its conservation of bricks.  It's nice looking.

Now that I've seen this build in person I have some criticism.

Terrain is highly localized; the ones pictured are just part of one small ledge, and the rest of the terrain consists of flat baseplates. All the buildings are also located on these flat baseplates, making it harder to relocate to add terrain, if wanted.

Some buildings don't make sense. Specifically, the dining hall that has a huge exit but isn't attached to any building.

Trees. The low hanging quality of them is okay, but they're not tall enough. Leaves are also compacted rather unrealistically and look bad, though coloration is good.

Zealot made this

I knew that silly. I'm assuming zealot knows about this topic and is reading the criticism.

Also that picture is awesome and is going in my sig right now.

EDIT: oh I understand now. I meant inside the main build which we were dm'ing inside yesterday
