Why does that Lay's logo look very similar to the Walker's logo?

Lays are good and we actually get almost full bags out here.
I believe fritolay is down there so they probably wouldn't package as much air due to close proximity

In Australia, we have Smiths.
They are amazing.

Ha that's awesome.

And you guys say that living around here is bad. At least we get semi-full bags of chips.

Why does that Lay's logo look very similar to the Walker's logo?

Because walker's logo is derived from lay's since it's the UK alternative (or something like that).
They're both owned by PepsiCo, who own Frito-Lay.

He beat me to that, damn.

As far as I know Walkers used to be it's own company until it was brought out by Pepsico.

What country is Walkers from?
Or was it a British company so they used it to sell crisps here?

The 'lays' looks similar to a brittish brand of crisps.

... hope nobody is surprised.

Companies do this all the time. Its to trick you into thinking its better. It works the other way too. Candy companies sell "NEW MINI" versions of their products that are the same but have less content. Soda companies create new bottles that hold less but cost the same. And quite often, cereal companies will re-brand the same cereal as a new product using a different name and logo.

ALSO re: lays

Walkers is the original, started in 1880 apparently. It was an independent UK company but was later taken over by PepsiCo and adopted Lays logo etc. Lays came into existence in 1930ish.

We can sell these and relabel them as "Breathers". They're like gas masks, but are very poorly and crudely made with very low budgeting. As an addition, these are bio-degradable.

And there is a small chance you may choke upon a crisp.

And that, boys and girls, is why Pringles is doing so well
