What about an Antlion?
They're large insect-like creatures that burrow in sand, and ambush their prey.
They have a low amount of health, but their strength lies in numbers.

Using the default player model things I could very easily make a snork and bloodsucker in sketchup, but I don't think those models would be very useful.
