The blob reminds me of Steve McQueen's 1958 movie, The Blob!
My father has 2 of the original movie theater seats that were used in the movie (there's a scene where a bunch of people come running out of a movie theater because it was inside!) We also have a Blob poster from it, showing the list of actors, etc. Maybe I'll post a picture later if I have time. One of my favorite classical movies of all time :)
Here's a picture of the Movie Theater, every year they have an anniversary get-together where inside they have a bunch of contests for personal made movies, and other fun stuff around the town. We went for the 50th anniversary (2008). After all the contests are over, they reenact the scene where everyone runs out, screaming. They have the streets blocked off, cameras and everything! It's pretty neat.
