Author Topic: Roll To Dodge v5: Hunger Games Edition (LET THE 93RD HUNGER GAMES BEGIN)  (Read 14759 times)

As the gong sounds, I race to grab the bow, then I head towards the cornucopia and slow to a halt at it's base, guarding the backpack with lancelot who comes up shortly thereafter because i'm faster than him and stuff
You rolled a 2... +2 running skill. You get a 4. You run for the Cornucopia, you grab the backpack, but you drop it a few seconds later.

I use my running skill to dash forward and grab the best looking sword and go to the backpack where I defend the bag against the weaponless ? and Soulpelt with Lugnut.  I then do a fist bump with Lugnut.
You rolled a five, plus 1.5. You utterly fail, tripping and faceplanting into the ground.

I sneak over to the cornicopia and grab 3 knives, then head towards the north forest
Five. You retrieve the knives, and manage to run out of the forest before anyone sees you.

I grab a moderate-sized bag from the cornucopia quickly, and make a run for it.
One. You utterly failed. You trip and fall straight into the bloodbath.

I dash for a knife and a backpack.
Six. Plus one. Since there are only six numbers on a dice, you get a one. You stumble off of your plate, lost for a minute. You head for the bloodbath, running to grab a knife and a pack. You end up dead before you can get to the backpack.

I run and grab a bow and a sword and arrows from the thingy and then run away.
One, for the same reason as above. You trip and fall right after stepping off of your plate, but you manage to make it out of the bloodbath with a small pack and a knife.

running to grab the nearest thing to me
Three. You grab a small plastic tarp, and run from the cornucopia. The tarp will work for rain and hail, maybe, but will fail for everything else.

I grab a sword and run towards the lake.
Three. You grab a sword, but it’s rather shoddy, and will break if you use it for anything other than its intended purpose.

There.
I may have missed a couple. Let me know if I did.

I don't think the plus skill should push you above a five. I mean, if they push you over, you might as well have no points at all.  Ifthere is an overshot, then adding a constant keeps you're odds the exact same..  The skill points should either not push over 5 our we should change it to the higher the better, no overshot.

well that was a bummer

I don't think the plus skill should push you above a five.
That's how it worked in the last RTD. At least, for bonuses, anyways.

It makes skill points useless.  If I get +1 to every roll, I still have 1/6 chance of getting any number, the same as if I had no skill points.

It should only add up to 5, not over

this one time it does not add up to 5, k?
every time from now on, the bonus will go straight to a five if it goes over six.

You missed me
You got a three.
You grab whatever it is you were trying to grab, and run out, but not without a sword wound (from an NPC.)

I get back up and run grab the best sword and then run to the backpack to meet up with Lugnut.

ok my money is on fracture

uh
going to sleep
good night guys

The gong rings and I immediately rush for the pile of swords and knives. I try to grab a few knives for throwing and a single sword.
I raise my sword ready to defend myself.
I didn't run away :c

so let me get this straight, 3/7 are dead already?

anyway, I wanted a bow.

Did I get it or not?

If I did, I chill and grab the backpack and wait for lancelot.

in the old RTD nobody really dies on the first turn
and they're always given a 2nd chance to roll a high number to live, but whatever

Climb up a tree and sleep on the biggest, highest branch
