Author Topic: Children Don't listen to the Beatles.  (Read 5560 times)

Yeah "geared toward girls" was not the best choice of words. It's great music that anyone can listen to, but I think modern day boys are too concerned with their masculinity to listen to their lovey dovey songs.
I'll listen to a love song and I still care about staying a man. I just do it in my own way.

Even then, the Beatles are pretty much geared toward girls. They sing primarily about love. The age of their music shouldn't matter imo.

There's no reason to assume people will instantly like a band that hasn't been active for 42 years just cause they were popular then. I'm willing to bet the reason their fame carried on for so long after their active years is because of parents raised in the 60s and 70s influencing their kids. Now generations are beginning to shift to the point where peoples' grandparents grew up with the Beatles.

Like you said, age shouldn't matter. People will like what they like, regardless of age. If teenage girls favor what they were raised with, why is it a problem?

EDM and Alternative.

Long Live Lord Skrillex.

That's how it works. You take a liking to the music you was raised on.
I was raised on country.
My sister was raised on I have no loving idea what she listens to.
A dude I know was raised on rap
So on and so forth it depends on how you was raised on the music you listen to. One of these days Rap, Dupstep, and screamo will be the "Golden Oldies"

Exactly. loving thank you. I'm not gonna stuff on your opinion just because you happen to be raised in a place where country is popular, even though I don't like it.

Silly old people with their overuse of capitalization and their lack of diverse musical taste.

I hate a lot of music but I don't judge them over it. People think I'm stupid for listening to country but what you listen to doesn't matter.

If a music is popular there than whatever good for them I'm not going to stuff all over them for it.

The Beatles suck anyways. Listen to real rock.
"Real Rock" is not Metal. Metal is a division of Rock. The Beatles sung the original style of Rock and Roll.

Elvis is king of rock.

>goes on xbox
>hears 8 year old rapping Li'L Wayne songs
>"Sir, have you heard of the Beatles?"
>Kid: They're like country or classical rit??

I hate it when people forget up like that.

Because everybody in school loves bands like Slipknot. (Don't know if I spelled that right!) I just go around saying "sklipnot is my favoritest band ever!"

I like the Beatles, especially the Yellow Submarine song and Maxwell's Silver Hammer

Men these days are waaaaaay too masculine.

Men these days are waaaaaay too masculine.
Or at least attempt to be incredibly "masculine"
