looks awkward when he's falling since he slides back
i dunno why you'd limit yourself to 16x16, i mean even old games would use extra 8x8 tiles just for a few pixels of the character

Some bad watch_dogs pixel art

So I got bored and tried to make something graffiti-esque

maybe don't save it as a jpg?

1. Don't save it as a goddamn jpeg.  Use gif or png for lossless sprite compression.

2. Resize the image in an image editor with no interpolation.  Resizing it with forum image settings leaves the interpolation options up to the browser, which means it will usually come out looking blurry as a result.
