Ok so aside from the very good people who make great pixel art in this thread, pixel art quality has actually been going a bit downhill among the others
so I'm gonna go ahead and dump this
amazing tutorial here. I learned a lot from this and so can a lot of other people. it tells you how to fix strange shapes, fixing jaggies, following specific pixel art rules and other stuff
honestly the most I learned from this tut was how to deal with colors.
