Brick tiles

You make any grass tiles?

Now I just need to find some character sprites that either have animation frames already, or that I can try to animate myself.
And sound.

I'd do that but the current character sprite template I'm working on right now still has some kinks I need to work out so I reccomend finding someone here who can sprite or learning to sprite yourself.

SFXR is good for making 8bit sounds.

To be fair they don't even need to be good, I just need something to test the animation on.

Thanks.

Holy crap, I just came to this topic to post grass tiles, THEN I noticed your post XD

But yeah, I made some tall jungle grass tiles. the top half is meant to go behind the player and they stand on the bottom half.

These don't really match the style of the city brick tiles. If you hold out for a little while longer, I plan to make some more jungle tiles, trees, and parallax background layers.

Edit:

I think I'm getting a little too carried away with the tree...

Nice! Why don't you post pixel art on your deviantArt?

I don't post tilesets, only finished pieces. Once I finish these and make a scene out of it, I'll probably post it on my dA.

Posting this on DA later

Pixelated version of these boneheads:

Guys. I need help. ;_;

So, I made my first Youtube video. :o But, I'm lost because I have no clue what video recording software to use. I want a free one, but if it you guy have a recommended one that's pretty cheap, I'll give it a go. I actually wanted to speed my video up, to, but Hyporcam 3 doesn't have the tech to do it. :x

So yeah, my crappy video. :S

- don't use regular paint, i mean it works but it could end up having many downsides later.
- don't disable the comments on the videos, i mean if you're going to put it on the forums why would you act like you wouldn't accept criticisim?
- your coloring method works, but is really not the most efficient way of doing it. (well done on doing it well with that method anyways, though)
- try to speed up the video in a video editor, it just isn't as interesting in real time.

use bandicam; it has a watermark, but it's small (and at the top of the video) and the trial gives you 10 minute recording periods.

Thanks for the tips! Also, the recording software I had didn't let you speed up the video-- I tried to already. ;_;
