[Help] iTunes opens by itself

Okay I've searched every nook and cranny of the internet and haven't found ANY solution to my fairly odd problem.

Alrighty, say I open up iTunes and start playing a song, then minimize iTunes cause I'm doing other stuff. But, right as I begin to do other stuff, iTunes pops open again. Without any warning whatsoever. It continues to play the song, but it just keeps opening over top of any window that I have open.

Any solutions?

I don't use GIMP so I wouldn't know

VLC has some weird MP3 playback since 2.0.1
it's like it's got no bass to it

if you're on Ubuntu i'd suggest you use rhythmbox

I use iTunes and it never does this, so the problem isn't that iTunes just sucks.

It's too late. I already switched completely to Windows Media Player.

It's not great but it doesn't get in my loving way.
