Author Topic: Blockland shape poem for school  (Read 1707 times)

I said to my teacher this afternoon that I wasn't really happy with my effort at literacy today. He said that I could do it at home and get a better picture and more time. As far as I'm aware I'm the only one assigned to do this.  I launched up Blockland single player when I got back and made this rhyming poem about a Blockhead pilot. I posted it here because it is more of a real life thing. This may not be understood by some accents such as American due to these being British pronounciations.
Maps used:
Bedroom Abandoned (Demian)
Construct (Badspot)
San Fierro (Antarres)

1, Plane

2, Setting course

3, Bedroom scare

4, sitting (his thought was true)

5, Warp

6 but not least, End

Approx. time 45 mins because of editing and map changes. All done in one singleplayer session, with a fast computer.

My friends normally laugh at me when I do anything game related when doing school work.

Go stick your british superiority up your ass.
I'm an American living in Australia and I talk to British, Swedish, German, and Italian exchange students all the time.

No matter what country you come from, English shouldn't be hard to understand / interpret slang.

Maybe its hard to understand the pronunciations in your pictures because you're still in primary school.

No need to be horrible. Tell me where he said anything about it being superior.

He was simply explaining that some words may not rhyme because, if you haven't realised, both English and American people DO pronounce things in different ways.

Putting in games hardly anyone would have heard of into your school work is generally a bad idea.
It doesn't matter how good the work is, but the teachers will probably give you an awkward look, especially when it's like this.

Wouldn't hurt to look at what I quoted, would it?

I did. No where in that did he say he was superior in any way.

Holy forget overreaction much. He was just making a simple statement. No where is there any superiority involved.

Fluff, are you from the UK?

the last part wasn't meant to be an insult, but I'm sick of stuck up Brits. He should of included more countries that speak English like maybe Canada or Australia, but nope he has to single out America because some British people arw just plain old stuck up about them being 'superior'.

Sorry for dropping my rant in this topic, but people that think that their country is superior really grind my gears.
