Author Topic: Just bought Minecraft. What do?  (Read 1428 times)

I'm planning on hosting a server on my compy downstairs, but that's something else.

What mods do I get? I already have BLinMC texture pack.

Also, creepers are fun as hell.

Go to a hunger games server or something. I can host later with some other people.

get optifine, rei's minimap and evilminecraft beta

Get the Technic Launcher. Play on Tekkit servers and try out Hack/Mine, Yogbox (my fav), and the Technic pack.

play vanilla until you get bored(3 hours) and then mod it until it breaks and then get frustrated because there are so many stuffty mods and people and then get the technic pack and complain about tmi not working and dont try to figure things out yourself and then get told to get bent by cheapshot

Build a house, explore, craft/obtain all the items in the game, slaughter everything on your property, level up to max, stuff your face with food, become Old McDonald and make the best dang farm ever, and have an underground tunnel lit by lava behind glass, then adventure into the Nether, deflect Ghast bombs back at the Ghasts, make friends with the Zombie Pigmen only to kill them all later, gain as much materials from the Nether as possible, return home, repeat

play vanilla until you get bored(3 hours)
I've had a free account for about 10 days. I know all the crafting stuff and stuff.

Also, I was at a loss at first as to why I could never find any wheat, only this damned grass.

but you can't play minecraft with a free account?

I just usually derp around in creative/build poor-quality things in creative/spam mobs in creative/blow things up in creative.

I haven't played serious SSP in a long time.

My friend logged in once, so with that, I could log in and play single player despite not having a free account.

Here's how it went for me:

Vanilla SSP = 600 hours of entertainment.
Creative mode = 100 hours.
Modded SSP = IT'S LIKE A WHOLE NEW GAME +600 HOURS.

Hopefully you will be as prosperous, brother.

but before this you said ..

on top of this, the title of this thread is "Just bought Minecraft" yet nowhere here do you say you've bought it .. it sounds like you're mooching your friend's account .. either that or your sentence structure needs some work

did you mean "I've had a free account" as in you used to have one but now you bought the paid version?

..wait what the hell is a free account?

I recommend that texture pack so much.

An account that doesn't have a registered copy of Minecraft linked to it.

but before this you said ..

I have paid my $27 for an account, you can look it up too. Dorkdotdan is the name. However, a friend of mine logged into his account on my computer a while ago therefore allowing me to log in with my non premium account (before I bought it) and play singleplayer.
