Milkshape is definetly the easiest of the above listed. Try making simple objects before making weapons. I learned the basics through a video tutorial. I don't know the link to that so this information is useless, but wth, who cares?

I use Wings3d. Very, very simple to use. The only thing is that you have to export it, then import it into something that can export DTS's
