Post your resting positions/keyboarding habits here
I don't think most of us here follow the way they teach people in school. Most people I know have their own custom way of keyboarding depending on how they learned or how they game.
Personally, I have my middle finger on W, Index on D, Ring on A/Shift/Caps lock, Thumb Resting on space, and my pinkie usually free hovering just off or on the keyboard near shift. When I type, I usually use my ring and middle for my right hand, and index and middle for my left hand. I rarely use the other fingers except my thumb for typing space and my pinkie for shift. Sometimes I use the other fingers, but rarely. My hands generally take which keys I need to press with no clear sets, but they tend take halves of the keyboard except for the center keys, where they kind of switch on what fingers do what.
