So as of now how much power and mem does that OS need to run?

ASM and C.
I would have used C++
but I wanted to learn C.
I don't think you can use C++ to compile low level code anyways.

This is an impressive undertaking.  I'll glance over here once in a while.

Based on the chat messages you sent to me earlier, it seems you're using a ~*nix-based kernel. After you've added things like memory management and actual processes you should be able to run the Linux version of Cython (possibly with some wrappers/replacements).
