Author Topic: Found my first Geocache  (Read 2128 times)

Decided to go hunting in my local woods with my Android phone. I doc'd a larger sized cache, apparently with multiple goodies inside it, but it was well hidden. Oh yes it was. I'm still so forgetin' proud of myself for finding it though.

Inside was a bunch of stuff - scented candles, a Travel Bug, baby socks (!?!?), some kids books, a balloon, etc. along with a logbook that I signed.

Pictures, mathafackas!

Hmm, tiney hole in a patch of trees? THIS LOOKS SUSPICIOUS

PART TWO: LE SECOND CACHE

Wait a fu- wait

forget YEAH

No pen, not signing. But there are ROBOT TOYS

If you don't know what Geocaching is, it's sort of like a real-life, global international massive treasure hunt for grown-ups. People leave "caches" or basically little hidden secret items around the world, literally anywhere, and they mark them on a GPS, then post the coordinates on the Geocaching website. Then, people have to go find it, and sign their names, leave some goodies, trade them, etc. You don't normally take the items inside, only if you trade.

Discuss how forgetin' awesome Geocaching is

My family tried it once in our area.

We even tried it during a holiday in the USA. Unfortunately, every geocache we found there was looted.

My cousin went to Iran and tried this, he died.

there are 0 within 25km of my location

I've done 3

First two had pencils and erasers and stuff in 'em so I let them be, couldn't find the third one

Signed the logbooks though

Geocaching is fun as hell.

>get coords
>put in GPS

>get box

Next time, piss in one and sign your name with some stuff

That'll suprise them ;)

I'd love to try this.
Most of the ones near me are in cemeteries... it would be hilarious if one of them asked to bring a spade xD

What about leaving a washed fast food cup filled with change?

I looked closer into it and it's more simple than I thought but I probably won't be able to do it still since I'd need my parents to help and I'm involved in a ton of other things already and this is a run on sentence.
