There really is no point of making a new account then try-harding against a bunch of new people.
I don't try-hard in anything unless its ranked.

And I also don't play on my smurf anymore, it got boring after a while. I don't play anything besides ranked now.

The point being you were suggesting ruining the experience for people who may actually be new.

Playing on a smurf isn't always a bad thing, but it's when you play like you would on your main account, that's when the problem comes in.

I have a smurf account but I don't use it for 'pubstomping'. I have a friend who's actually new to the game that I like to play with. I can easily spot who is legitimately new, who's pretending to be new, who's a smurf just looking for shenanigans, and who's a smurf who probably lost too much on their main account so they have to 'pubstomp' new people to feel better about themselves.

Where did you guys get those avatars

Why has nobody done this yet:

Steam group. It'd make it alot easier to organize future matches and such. It's a public group so just go ahead and join. I'll also post news, like Patch Notes, Sales, Free Champions, etc..
I also made everybody able to schedule events, so.
Group page WIP.

In the case that I run into a true newbie, I generally try to point them in the right direction in terms of building, and helping with strategies. I'm not a prick to them.

But to be honest it's starting to get pretty rare to find true newbies. I mean, it is the most played game in the world after all.

Games get popular because a bunch of people start playing it, aka, there's a lot of new people.
And believe me, there is. You probably just move too high in normal ELO to see any actual new people.
They could also have all chat turned off, as it is by default.

I suppose you're right Chrono.
I've been done smurfing since my old smurf (Its All Lies) hit level 30, and is now my main.
200+ Ranked games in now, lol.

Il also mod some people in the steam group if they show that they'll help. (Announcements, etc.)
