I was wondering if anybody else on Blockland finds the same emotional attachments to music like I do. What I mean is; Do you feel emotionally attached to certain songs, and how so?
My List of Songs
- Michelle by the Beatles | This song makes me feel sad every time I hear it, because I used to have a friend named Michelle for whom I was learning this song. One day, she and another friend of mine decided to completely screw me over, and this song reminds me of her
- It's a Sin by Eddy Arnold | This song used to have a very strange habit of playing whenever I was talking to another friend of mine, even if my iPod was on shuffle. It reminds me of her and how she was amazing but became a complete richardheaded jack-off
- Such Great Heights by The Postal Service | This reminds me of good times in the summer a long time ago, it also makes me really sad when I hear it because I have never been satisfied with my life except when I was younger, and only then in the summer.
- Hurt by Johnny Cash | This really makes me sad. It reminds me of how I was in the past. I used to be deeply emotionally disturbed, and I would hurt myself because of it. Now I am better, but thinking about who I was a few years ago kills me because I'm almost the exact opposite now.
I know most of my connections are very pessimistic, but that's what makes the deepest emotional impact on me. Discuss, Blockland
