I look back over at him, and for a moment, the vault disappeared, replaced by my old home. Instead of the kid, I saw my brother, who had used that exact line before... It happened. I turned around, blinking. The vault faded back into my vision, tears streaking down my cheeks. I bit my knuckle to repress the sobs that were threatening to rise into my throat.
