"I just require the positive feedback they always gave me. I'm a pessimist, and they always had me moving forward. I never had to do any of this stuff I've done either. I've tried Self Delete multiple times already, and each time it failed or was interrupted. Sometimes I just want to stop going through this, and I lose all hope.."

"Good job getting that off your chest." I say, looking at him and smiling.

"Thank you." I say before wrapping my arms around myself tighter. "I don't know if I'm sick or I just can't handle the weather, but good holy Jesus am I freezing."

"That will be a jacket, this coat, and that coat. It'll be impossible to move and it might turn out I'm just sick and the coat won't do anything but disable my ability to move my arms."

"Hey! You guys coming? The gas station is around the corner!"

I look at Alix and jog up to bozo. "Let's get the gas and get out."

"Wait... I just realized... How are we going to fill up the tank if there's a large hole in it?"

"I told gramps to fix it before I left."

"Alright, here's what we're gonna do. We'll take a few propane tanks, and empty them in the perimeter around the gas station. while we're filling the tanks up with fuel, we can stay watch. If we see lots of crazies, we light up the propane, and we have an instant wall of death which we can use to our advantage."

"You guys get the gas, I'll look for stuff inside." I say as I head for the door. The door was locked, so I head around back to avoid having to break glass. The back door wasn't locked, so I entered and started putting candy and chips into my duffle bag. The coat was taking up a lot of room, so I let it rest on my shoulders.

I begin filling up a tank, not saying a word.

I fill up a tank of my own. "You know, you're pretty shy for a girl that almost killed Keith half an hour ago. I won't be surprised if you don't respond to me."
