I toss the smartphone onto the couch and exit the door with the crutch I borrowed from a dead body.
"I can't believe I hadn't thought of that before," I say quietly to myself. "not that a gun store would have anything left in a city as violent as this one."

I didnt plan to visit the store. That was kind of a sarcastic act of good intention. I figure they were all raided.

And the gunshots were my sniper. Didn't take long for me to get mugged.

"Now where was that hardware store?" I ask myself over the dead body of a crazy I just had the hassle of stabbing. Dang they are getting pretty bold. I hope I don't have to do this often, I am exhausted and injured."
Fortunately if my plan pulls through I will never worry about crazies again.

I continue to 'walk' until I reach the hospital. Back to good old ER3. I nap shortly and wake up to the sound of a chopper high above. Rescue?
Nope, just another military scout trying to get a view of whether or not it's safe down here yet. I decide to get their attention anyway.
I get a few road flares from my room and hope for the best. But they left when they saw me. Can't have a million dollar chopper mugged while you are armed with 30mm cannons.

Dang.

As the pain in my leg slowly fades, I decide to make my way to the hospital, With any luck there'll be some painkillers for when I start to ache again.
The hummer won't start (hotwire failed), and it's probably for the best, I don't want any crazies coming after me right now. I'm forced to go there on foot, weapons ready.
