we already have a build of bedroom in brick form, why do we need 1 brick that can be pained a single color?

Well it could be multi-textured like the polycubes, and then there would not be any real difference between the real bedroom and the brick one except the "stuck" error would be replaced by an overlap one and the stupid goddam "unstable" error would cease to exit.  Also the window and lamp wouldn't be breakable unless they were separate bricks.

oh my god the lag

i can practically smell it
I actually do wonder what lag smells like.

Dust, smoke, and burning electronics probably.
A microwave more than likely.

A brick would be highly abusable, and its not like you can load bricks into another brick.

forget, my sides.

Now where does it say that this has to be a brick?

And the "Basement" Secret room would also not exist.

And the "Basement" Secret room would also not exist.

Why not?

It is just a cut out of the bottom of the bedroom.  There is no real reason that cannot be incorporated into a dts shape.

It would have to exist under the map, creating a "Stuck" or "Buried" error.

There would be no lag.

There shouldn't be much lag, if any. Placing the actual brick might lag (due to its size) but not it being there.

This is a unique idea, someone should try it.

It would have to exist under the map, creating a "Stuck" or "Buried" error.

Stuck error will no longer exist

The current bedroom is not buried, there is no reason that a brick bedroom would.  The hidden area is not underground, it is within the interior of the bedroom.

Somebody actually had turned the bedroom into a brick. It was rotated onto its side, used the default brick textures with bad UV mapping, and lacked collision. In addition, I started placing about 32 of them at a time, and the server host ended up complaining about slowdown.

as a similar idea.

i thought it would be swell if an entire save could become a single static dts.

i can only see this useful as being done to a terrain build though.

Map idea for next version: BRICKS!

what yes you can

The thing would be hollow of course

I am not convinced that this would actually be as laggy as people indicate, and beyond that see no reason this would not work fine.
Agreed. The Bedroom DTS I made didn't lag at all for me in game. Although I have only made the inside but I doubt the exterior would lag.
