anyone else ever heard of vanilla fudge or am I the only one?
they're a cover band that do absolutely breathtaking remakes of popular songs (they split in 1971, I believe)

ticket to ride originally by the beatles (one of my least favourites but still nice)
eleanor rigby originally by the beatles (one of my favourites)
you keep me hanging on originally by the supremes (very nice too)
season of the witch by donovan (one of my all-time favourite songs now)
the reason why I made this thread is because it seems all of this mainstream bullstuff is loving our generation in the ass without them realising
