They don't hurt yet, I heard that will start later today. I also have to brush my teeth with this special paste each night, and I can eat or drink for a half an hour afterward.

They're only sore when tightened, and only when you bite something. It's not too bad. I've had mine for 3 and a half years now.

Had mine for a little over 3 years (still counting.) For the first month or so the inside of your lips will be raw from them rubbing on the brackets.

Also, your teeth will hurt after they tighten them. For me it was about 4 days, but as time goes on they will tighten them less and less each visit. My teeth only hurt for about 2 days after each visit now.

The first few days i drank water and ate healthier. Now i'm back to drinking normally and eating whatever i wanted. Just keep licking your braces after meals in school to get food out. Its what i do
Also i bent a wire today, somehow. yay...

usually that happens when you get your retainer. you say your S's like Sh for a little bit till you get used to it.

usually is when you get them adjusted and tightened. Goes away after a few days.
