See that Old man in ghost in a shell?
Yeah, that.

Ephi would moderate forums, Kompressor would finish game.

Or certain doom.

i don't think thats possible

Then the person who has been doing all the hard work would do all the work.

Ephi would moderate forums, Kompressor would finish game.

Or certain doom.
yeah, but, then, HOW DID BADSPOT DIED?

Ephi murdered him for more power. It's no secret that Ephi is an evil power hungry national socialist and he'll do anything for Badspot's throne.

OR, maybe it was,(duh duuh duhn!) LORD TONY

I would kill myself
or at least become really depressed because v21's about the only gaming related thing I'm looking forward to right now

kil urself

badspot needs to have a son to inherit the game

A realistic prediction if Badspot died tomorrow and has no will or inheritor

The servers wouldn't last long. The forums and master server would drop off.

Authentication would fail. If you could work around that, players would have to create a 3rd party server list and post their IP addresses and you'd have to connect manually.

We'd probably see cracking or modding efforts to try and work around authentication and to patch the server list. The community would shrink hugely. The game would slowly shrivel. Players would resort to LAN gaming and single player during this time.

As time passes, we would probably witness people creating their own patched and / or heavily modded versions of Blockland. Different branches of Blockland revisions to try and keep it alive, adding new modded features and changes. Blockland would fracture as badly as Linux distros do.

No more key sales would prevent further growth. Key sharing would go up, illegal cracking would go up. Game Dejour would be sold out in panic. Second hand key sales are a possibility.

Many, many illegitimate forums would be setup, but its unlikely anybody would be able to re-create a forum as central as the one we have now.

Over a period of years, Blockland would either die from lack of growth, and even fractured modding projects to try and keep the game alive couldn't save it. As its online presence falls, websites and caches dry out, and the community outgrows or abandons the game, Blockland would end up abandonware and would remain a niche game that little to nobody plays except for nostalgia purposes offline or over LAN.
