Ok so I'm not sure why but it looks like my friend is backstabbing me and I'm just really confused.

After I got back to Australia I started to hang out with one of my friends Jess, and I began to like her.
About 2 weeks ago I had a party and one of my really close friends who I have known for over 10 years told me that she really likes me, I planned on asking her out soon enough after that. However I noticed that she had stopped talking to me after a few days, not knowing what it could be I thought I would let it be and wait until she was going to talk again.
So last night my best friend told me that the friend who said she liked me had told Jess that she was pissing me off and that I don't want to talk to her, which obviously never happened.
He told her that around a week ago.
I have been trying to message and talk to her for over a day and she keeps ignoring me, I know she is there because she will respond to others but wont say a word to me.
My best friend just told me over skype that she had been in bed crying after she was told that and she decided never to talk to me again and has been trying to avoid any contact.

So now I have a close friend who just got a girl I like and have been close with for nearly two years to never talk to me again and I have no idea why he did it or how the hell I am going to fix this stuff.

So tell me forum, what should I do about this? also bans are loving boring

I wish I could but I can't meet with her, contacting her is hard enough especially without using my friends as middlemen and if she knew that I was trying to meet with her she wouldn't be there, we don't go to the same school anymore or anything so the only time I can be with her in person is when we arrange it which is impossible now.
