Author Topic: Are you ready for IPv6?  (Read 5334 times)

IPv4 is running out, and has ran out in some places. So the world is forced to switch over to IPv6. You can find out if your computer is ready for IPv6 by clicking the blue text above.

For those of you that use OpenDNS you can use the following OpenDNS servers for IPv6, also, be sure to enable IPv6 on your router.  If your router does not support IPv6 you can try looking for a firmware upgrade, or a new router.

OpenDNS 1: 2620:0:ccc::2
OpenDNS 2: 2620:0:ccd::2

Keep in mind, those are sandbox IP's. It may change once it goes live on June 6th.

For those of you that own a website you can talk to your host about getting IPv6 addresses.  I costed me about $1 for a /128 block of IP's.

I remember something like this a few years ago.
They haven't run out yet.

Seems as if I'm one of the lucky ones who is compatible with IPv6.
