there's also the fact that, if it did happen, there's no way we would have the amazing diversity we do now
much less any way we'd have such a huge population of creatures in South America, since we didn't even know it existed until way after anything in the bible happened
I dont think that's even important. if a christian doesn't refute the story and believes it literally, they also believe that noah was 600 years old. most sensible religious scholars regard early genesis as fictional, as it rightfully should be.
most modern scholars don't even believe the myth came from the bible, but rather babylonian myths which were then recycled.
But evolutionists believe everything came from a primordial soup, so why is it so hard to believe we all came from one family?
..because everything coming from a primordial soup is supportable by science and reproducible in a lab..
