I like the idea but there's significant issues here. You built this convention center like it's a gaming convention rather than a convention for clans, builders, addon makers, eventers, etc. There's no room for anyone to really showcase what they've made. This should have been all outside instead of inside a constricting convention center. Give people huge lots, minimum being 32x32, max being 256x256 so they have plenty of room to show all the awesome masterpieces they've built instead of a stuffty scale model and some info. Most of these booths are wasting space (especially the comblock booth which just has a bunch of dupes of the same event computer recolored, not to mention they barely loving work). The idea is fantastic, but the execution is really lacking here.
