Place turret on roof, camera on front wall.  Scan for hostile radio freq's.



You rearrage some stuff and decide to comb the radiowaves.
Shortly after scrolling through the local waves, you come across the words "...Viper's attack on...", which piques your interest.

?1: ...the comm nexus, making us have to use local channels.
?2: So what's the plan?
?3: We'll strike at their comm nexus. Simply specific revenge.
?1: I like it.
?2: Same. But how'll we do it?
?3: We'll send some demomen to blow it up. It's not vehicle science.
?1: And what if we're caught?
?3: By whom?
?1: The Vipers or the commandos.
?3: We'll have men stationed around the area so we can ambush them if we need to.
?2: So when will we do this?
?3: Tomorrow. Get ready.

The channels clicks off and only static is heard from the comm.

I'm really sorry for the lack of updates, I've been sick and lethargic. :s
I think I'm going to do a text update for now so we can move the story along.

: Squad, I've been searching through the local channels and discovered the Pepperboxer's comm nexus is down.
: However they're also planning to destroy the Viper's.
: What, are you suggesting we stop them?
: Pentyl's got a point. If we let them do that, we could spy on them via the radio. It'd help us out a bit.

You continue listening to the local channels. Nothing interesting is happening.

You enter the basement. It's dark, dank and damp and oh forget why there's spiders everywhere forget forget forget get me out of here fffffffffff.

After recollecting yourself you look around. There's lots and lots of crates, all stamped with a name, date and room number. Probably used as storage.


Open all crates ad look for useful shizzle.

You start opening crates.
After you open 20 or so crates and realise it's all just a bunch of furnature, picture frames or other stupid things, you head back up to the top floor.

Your squadmates have returned and have already set out the map of Atkaku, planning pencils in their hands.

Your first attack has begun.


(Gold is the defunct Pepperboxer CN. Bright yellow is the Viper CN.)

You are now planning for the attack. Choose squares (city blocks) to either
  • Secure (Kill all gang members and close off entrances to other blocks, changes square to Safe  once completed)
  • Assault (Kill all gang members but continue to other blocks once done, changes square to Subdued but can be recaptured by the gangs)
  • Secure + Defend (Capture the area to use as another temporary base of operations, changes square to Safe)
  • Sabotage (Set up traps and spy cameras, square changes to Rigged (darker shade of original color) placeholder text to move the next line down and make this fancier.
  • Other (State what the operation and color are, will be added to the list)


Sorry if that was a quick transition, I just want to move the story along. :l

Ok since that is going to be kinda confusing I've updated the image.
I think I got what you suggested though, dunno if it's wrong or not.

Were you hanging upside-down when editing the image or..?

Hey I'm bored and have ~2 mbs of sprites already made for this and cool little outline for the story, let's do this again.

If nobody likes this I'll lock it though, I just need something to fill in the large gaps of boredom in my life and I figured this would do it.

travel around safe areas

from the area you just upforgeted, go down 2 squares and then left 2 and SECURE the stuff out of the square you land on

or go with lancelots suggestion

I really like this.  I will try to post with as much frequency as I can muster.

We should secure all the blocks around the viper CN, then savage the only block they can use to get in
