Well it's got six million users, including me. I'm only drawn by the broad world exploring aspect. There are a lot of fun quests, skills, and areas to explore.

welcome to the world of third person game playing. it's a lot like point and click adventures, lots of people differentiate their character from themselves.

No, what I'm saying is that from what I know about Runescape combat is that the only control you have combat wise is what weapon you hit them with.

I agree, if this combat is a lot more immersing, I'll re-consider 2006 scape. That's what was really dull about RS in the first place only interested in 2006 scape for the badass music and stuff graphics (yes I'm that kind of guy, I have a special interest for stuffty graphics.)

special attacks were fun. what i really hope they do is have more badass killing animations. if i hit a goblin with a giant loving axe, the goblin isn't doing to just fall down, it's going to get torn to stuff.
