None of the Alien movies are scary as far as I'm concerned. There might be the odd jump scare or two but nothing really bad. I don't even touch horror movies or games with a stick. I don't like horror stuff.

wear a diaper just in case

also get the happy snacks

goodluck.

Other than the fact that the entire movie is a metaphor for rape, nothing too scary.

Also, I'm serious about the rape thing.

Alien and Aliens (everything after Aliens was terrible so skip those) are compared to what's considered horror these days. Half the movies that come out now just have gimmicky "shock" elements and lots of blood to frighten people. It changed how directors displayed monsters.

John Carpenter's The Thing was also good. Which is pretty scary I guess.

H.R Giger's art which was used in the film is entirely based on human loveuality and ultra violence. But really saying the entire franchise is based upon rape is pretty shallow and easy to claim. Alien 3 was a failure really and everything after was an attempt to milk the franchise for money.

Alien is NOT scary

I saw it when I was 10 and was barely phased.

Just keep in mind all of this is just a movie and will never happen to you because even if in theory it COULD, you'll be dead long before mankind goes far enough into space to meet the forgeters in Alien

Just finished watching it. To be honest, I was more scared when I watched Toy Story for the first time. The suspense was really terrifying, however the effects may have been scary in the 80s, but when the alien popped out of that guys stomach me and my sister just laughed. That doesn't mean it wasn't a brilliant movie though; It was well written and the acting was great.

4/5

Well if you liked it, I would say go onto Aliens (the next one). It may not be as scary, or have as good acting; its still really good, and my favorite.
