Vehicles with massively scaled physics rates break the engine and cause Abnormal Program Termination errors.
I made a "Movers" system for Retail which creates/destroys bricks in steps towards a position. If this was modified it could be made into an "Elevator" style. It has a few limitations in that it can only go where bricks are able to be placed normally by you, but I remember seeing screenshots of a hack which allowed you to place bricks anywhere - activate and deactivate it repeatedly for movers, I suppose.
