Author Topic: I surveyed 100 random pages in the My Little Pony thread and here's what I found  (Read 3181 times)

I used a random number generator to select any number between 127080 and 0 and then I used that number to pick the page I wanted (using the url format placed in the PDF I uploaded) and here's what I found.

Only 20% of the threads I looked through contained discussion about the show or the toys sold by Hasbro that are related to the show. I pretty much picked anything that discussed an element of the show. An example of this would be, "Rainbow Dash is my favorite pony." or, "I'm really excited for the next episode!". I excluded pony images because technically posting images doesn't count as discussion.

What I also found was that 65% of the pages I looked through contained images of ponies.

Additionally, 20% of all 100 random pages I looked through contained at least one post by Lord Tony.

Here's the set from random.org containing the numbers I used to pick pages:

I didn't record these variables but what I found was that the majority of the discussion was just people talking about their favorite fan fictions, and critiquing each others art.

some of the random pages you chose are loving hilarious

what was the aim?

I really did it without any question other than how much do people actually talk about the show in the thread.

80% of people are bronyhaters.

It's more like 5% show discussion and 95% other.

Apparently not. Go away, you're supposed to be fixing your reputation.

Seventh is extremely brown townytical. I like it.

Judging by the data he's not.
you never spend any time in the topic so who are you to judge?

Judging by the data he's not.

He probably caught them during the time there was actually new never before seen episodes popping out on The Hub.

When the seasons came to a close the actual discussions about the show dropped.

Seventh should study the times when the seasons first premiered and when the seasons came to a close.
