My god help us all if Matt Ward ruins orks. From this point on I'm investing in Flames of War. 40k is unbalanced right now in my opinion, plus I like World War 2.

I'm going to get the Battletech set on Thursday.

I'll paint the minis and post them here. Wish me luck...

DAMN... most of my minis are broken... well, it is cheap plastic... :(

Did they turn to dust, or just snap at the lightest of brush strokes?

They just... CAME broke. They're fixed, now, and I am in the painting process.

Games Workshop seems like it's ran by a bunch of cunts. I mean they make cool things but the way they handle their business seems so douchey. Like I said before I really want to get into miniatures but there's no local game shops around. I also don't have that kind of money to piss away.

Because they are. I'm not buying from them anytime soon. I don't really have any friends to play with and the nearest stores that sell miniatures are miles.

Brikwars seems relatively simple. Prolly gonna play it with some friends soon.

It seemed like they always made the whole game a difficult task to get into. A lot of miniature games seem like they're a lot easier to get involved in, at least financially and through getting their stuff.

It is, actually. You should check out the 2001 rule set. It's pretty long, but it has rules for Champions and some interesting damage/attack rules. Brikwars 2010 is in the middle, but isn't quite finished.
