Author Topic: Downloading Vista drivers for Windows 7?  (Read 402 times)

so, I have a Fujitsu Lifebook A6025, which is a laptop made by, obviously, Fujitsu
it shipped with Vista, and the only drivers available for it are said to be for Vista
but some time ago, it had been updated to Windows 7, and now I don't know what to do
do I get the drivers anyway? or will they not work? or worse, break something?

I'd contact Fujitsu's support, but I don't want to call them, email requires a lot of useless information, and the chat support is only available on weekdays :I

if it matters, I'm trying to update, well, probably everything
to see all the drivers, go here: http://support.fujitsupc.com/CS/Portal/support.do?msrch=model
Notebook > A Series > 6025 > Go

Vista drivers should work on windows 7

I've done it before.

That is what is asked right?

okay, well, two of the four I tried "worked"
those two let me install them, although the bluetooth one still doesn't really let me connect my phone (it's an improvement from not being able to access bluetooth settings though), and the hotkey one didn't really seem to do anything at all

the other two told me that they were incompatible with this OS (the biometrics and audio drivers)

so I was going to try Fujitsu's actual driver update program. but it doesn't work between 3-5AM
so I'll just try that later

Alright, glad I could be of service to you.

well, of the two people that tried, nobody was really of any service other than just telling me that nothing bad would happen

Not really much more info can be given on this type of thing

Vista drivers should work just fine on 7, since both operating systems use the same driver model.
