War will never end.  It's human nature to desire power.  I'd love to believe that I am unaffected by greed, desire, lust, emotions, and society's pressures, but that is not true at all.

So long as people are people, war, greed, corruption, and crime will be right here with us.

And you see, that's where the problem lies. Even if we had the technology to colonize other planets, we wouldn't be ready. Our values and morals need to change drastically before we can dig into the galaxy without destroying it.
That is, assuming the rest of the space-age universe doesn't behave as we do now.

Who knows, we may not even go into a space age, and instead go into the sea.
According to some scientist somewhere, we know less about the sea than space.

Life is a nice game of chess :D

I'm going to say something that no philosopher would ever be caught dead saying:
Hell, I don't know.
Good night.

Which they probably do, considering evolution holds true throughout the entire universe.  Evolution puts emphasis on individualism, hedonism, and survival.  I myself believe in Machiavellian principles, where the ends justify the means, so I'd have no problem seeing one country conquer the world if it's for the cause of unity and peace.  Though on the contrary, we can't have a ruler who rules with fear, as the people will be unhappy, and eventually a revolution will occur.

This is why im not the president.

That scientist somewhere is pretty damn stupid then.

in the next 6 decades, we'll have technological singularity - above-human intelligence that we've created.

Everyone always think that things out of movies could never happen or they think it's just silly. But like Daedalus said, technology we create will most likely more intelligent than us in the future.

Who knows, we may not even go into a space age, and instead go into the sea.

Good morning.
So I've given it some thought.
Humanity will soon have used this planet up, and so we will have to go out into space. Since our aim is not into the ocean, our understanding of it isn't as crucial as that of the universe.
But you're right, it can't be known for sure.
