Is the Alien Staff model ready?

Yes, let me just upload it.
I haven't made the textures yet, so just use placeholders for now.
The names are:

Handle (with 'H' not 'h')
red
and bottom

It is supposed to be held at that orientation, but at hip height, is that possible?

The other picture didn't demonstrate it as well as I could have. Sorry :/

You'd have to make a model of it with a hand attached. The hand's color won't be able to change so you'll need to pick a color.

I'll keep the model you already gave me as the item model so when you spawn the item it won't have a hand attached to it.
You can find a hand model HERE.

So
Code: [Select]
armready = false;does nothing?

It does do something but your hand is not attached to the staff. You'll need to make the model with the hand.

I am just fixing up the model, forgot to get rid of the hand for the brick display...

That shouldn't be necessary. Just place the mount point correctly, and you shouldn't have any problems.

The item will be orientated as it is in the actual model file when it is spawned over a brick, or when it is a "thrown" item. The orientation of the mountpoint defines how the model will be held by the player model.

Of course this is assuming you are using Blender. Things might be different in another modeling software.

He wants it to be held like this though:

Did you get the models?

I think we should just go with your method for now, and change it if another one comes up.

Yep.

You do know that the staff will rotate with the hand, right?

So
Code: [Select]
armready = false;does nothing?

You should make some Life on Mars stuff too
