Author Topic: Failed to perform Bzip2 decompression  (Read 6758 times)

No no no no.  No.  The game does not work like that.  It does not use an external program to unzip.  Installing other programs will do nothing.  If you are this misinformed about computers please stay out of the help forum.  I would rather have no one reply to a help topic than have this kind of misinformation posted.

Oh, sorry Badspot. It was an educated guess to update bzip2.

That is not how libraries work. You have to add them INTO the application, not externally (unless it's for Python). In this problem, the files are interfered. Packet loss, probably?

Well I'm glad I learned a valuable lesson. :cookieMonster:

Go to pingtest.net and post the results. This will determine if it's packet loss on the CDN end or your end.

OK So i did the test and the results were
Line quality: B*
Ping: 26ms
Jitter:8ms
UNABLE TO TEST PACKAGE LOSS

Try doing this again? It could work this time.

I can keep trying, but if it wont work, i'll keep crying.

How would this help? How does pinging a random server evaluate the network quality between his computer and the CDN edge server? It doesn't.

Blockland doesn't work like this either.
Just do what badspot said, try clicking all those links and see if you can download them all.

I was able to download all the files from those links badspot gave me.

Blockland may be blocked by the firewall.

Unable to test packet loss...

You can download files from CDN directly from the browser so it's probably a firewall problem.

Nope, not my firewall, blockland should be an exception in my firewall (FW wont block it) and even when firewall was off, it didnt work. It always seems to miss those files i could download from browser...

I also looked at the installing progress thingy. When it says it tries to create a folder to /C:Documents and settings/(mynamehere)/my documents/blockland/
it says "Copy failed" three times in a row.
