Mushy needs maths!

I was planning to turn the Mandelbrot Set into a song, but after Gravity Cat cruelly dashed my hopes of creating that (by showing me a video of someone else doing it) I now need a new project. But I can't think of anything. I'm only in grade 9, but I can research imaginary numbers or whatever I end up needing so I would like something that is fairly complex. So any ideas?
