Author Topic: Need help, Wii not reading disks  (Read 2244 times)

obviously something is wrong with your wii

is it updated?

Updates don't matter. It's the drive. Find a disk drive cleaner for Wii. If that doesn't help, either send it into Nintendo or get used to playing games off of a USB drive.

Well, there are three options:
  • Check to see if the disks have any fingerprints or scratches on them.
  • To get the 90-day warranty, register your Wii in Club Nintendo by entering your serial number.
  • If all else fails, you may have to pay the $75 for the repair.

if none of that works.
You can sign up for the 90 day warranty extension by registering your Wii's serial number (located at the bottom of the console) in the "Enter PIN or serial # here" space on the Club Nintendo website.

mhmm
wanted to get possible non-money-using solutions out of the way before that

happens to me frequently playing ssbb on wifi (which i usually do if i'm not either on playstation home or on msn). the disc got scratched i think.

either all your discs or the wii's disc reader itself is damaged. call nintendo tech support, or find a repair shop that knows how to fix nintendo stuff

I don't know if the video worked for you guys, but in it I said that I tried that, also I tried multiple disks.

Hue hue why would your wee read disks

we's not readin' disks!

Nintendo's damned fast at fixing stuff. I got a new Wii (literally) for 80$ and they transferred all my account purchases to it.

I'd say go for that instead.
